Sweet and Sour Veal
1 lb. veal should steak
1 egg
2 Tbsp. cornstarch
corn oil
1 large onion
1 green pepper
1 pkg. Chinese vegetables
Sweet and Sour Sauce:
1 c. ketchup
1 c. white vinegar
1 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 Tbsp. soy sauce
1/2 c. broth or water
Cut veal in 1 x 1/2 inch strips (remove all bone). Mix egg and
cornstarch in bowl. Coat veal with mixture. Heat vegetables oil
in wok (375 degrees). Brown veal quickly and place in
350 degrees oven until tender. Slice green pepper and onion.
Stir-fry in wok until tender. Add Chinese vegetables. Cook for 5
minutes. Add sweet and sour sauce. Cook until thick. Add veal to
mix. Serve over white rice.
