Bacon Cheese Spread on Pumpernickel

1 10 ounce Stick Cracker Barrel cheddar
1 Medium onion
8 slices raw bacon
Dark Pumpernickel bread or the small bread pumpernickel rounds

Put cheese, onion and bacon thru meat grinder. Combine well and spread on pumpernickel. Broil until bubbly and lightly browned.
